Yes. Choose Preview the web app to explore the actual interface with a fictional company, without an account or payment. Browse the workspace and try dashboard layouts. The preview does not save company data, run AI or connect your accounts; layout changes reset when you reload. Download the desktop app when you’re ready to create your own local workspace.
startupOS is a desktop workspace for the work of building a company. It brings customer evidence, goals, decisions, metrics and follow-ups into a visual operating picture. Start with a template, add your records and shape the workspace around how you work.
The views sit alongside the evidence and decisions behind your numbers. Move from a customer observation to a recommendation, a reviewed experiment and a recorded learning. Layouts are saved and versioned, so you can return to the setup that works for you.
Yes. Start with one of 20 visual views, change the included components, rearrange them and choose charts or tables. View Studio supports bounded layout requests and optional AI-assisted customization. It changes the interface within supported components; it does not generate arbitrary application code. Saved layouts reopen without another model call.
The desktop workspace stores records locally by default. Templates and manual layout changes work without an AI provider. If you enable an external AI provider or a connector, selected authorized context can leave your device. Backups are under your control. The optional cloud workspace is separate.
The proposed founding subscription covers the app. External AI provider usage is separate and requires your own provider configuration. Opening templates, manually arranging a view and reusing a saved layout do not require an AI model call. No unlimited AI credits are promised.
The current Mac preview supports Apple Silicon and macOS 15 or later. It is locally signed, but not yet Apple-notarized. A Windows x64 preview has also been packaged; native Windows installation and hardware acceptance are still pending. Both preview installers are available after sharing your email address and how you heard about us in the Downloads section, with requirements, checksums and installation notes. These are early builds; operating-system security warnings may prevent installation.
You can add records manually and review CSV imports today. Available connectors require separate configuration. Live Stripe, PostHog, CRM and banking sync are not currently included. Desktop and cloud workspaces remain separate, without automatic cross-device sync or self-serve team collaboration.
The founding offer is $49 billed monthly or $348 billed annually, equivalent to $29 per month. Planned standard pricing is $99 monthly or $828 annually, equivalent to $69 per month. Crossed-out amounts show planned standard prices, not prices previously charged. Joining the list is free and creates no subscription. Billing, cancellation terms and any applicable tax will be shown before a purchase becomes available.
